Leveraging Technology to Assist with Safer Medication Use: Lessons from the MedSafer Clinical Trial

Educational Objectives:

  1. Review the concepts of “Medication Overload” and the “Prescription Checkup” and differentiate them from polypharmacy, medication reconciliation and deprescribing.
  2. Reflect on opportunities for improving medication use through a Prescription Checkup using preliminary data from the MedSafer Clinical Trials (with an emphasis on Ottawa data).
